Club Betting Policy

The Goondiwindi Race Club conducts a total of 5 meetings per year. The Goondiwindi McIntyre Picnic Race Club conducts an annual meeting at Gunsynd Park however the two clubs each operate under their own policies.

The Club provides Sky Channel 1 coverage to all meetings.

Goondiwindi Race Club operates under a “Preferential Betting Ring Policy” which means that the number of bookmakers operating at meetings is at the discretion of the club and is restricted to a maximum of 8 bookmakers who are required to be a part of “The Goondiwindi Bookmakers Amenities Improvement Group”. Not every meeting will require the maximum number.

On a large day, other bookmakers outside of the “Preferential List” may be granted permission to field if regular numbers fall short in the opinion of the club.

All Bookmakers are required to field on Local Events in addition to any other board of their choice from the main meetings in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide on that day.

Bookmakers will not be supported by a fluctuations service.

Bookmakers wishing to field at any meeting are required to confirm their nominations to the Secretary of the Club by noon on the previous day (except when the meeting may be on a Sunday in which case, nominations close by noon on the Friday). A draw will be conduced for individual positions.

Bookmakers’ names are sent to the QRIC and Toowoomba office after a Draw. The Draw will always be done in the following order.
