Gunsynd Park set to rock with 7 Local Races

Saturday will see racing back at Gunsynd Park with the feature race being “The Jeff Hannaford Inglewood Cup”. “Jeff has been a longtime supporter of country racing and it is great to see them back again in 2024”, Club President Don Madden said today.

The Club is thrilled with the nominations and even more excited when Racing Queensland agreed to split two races giving the Club a seven-race program. “We must make special mention of the efforts of Col Truscott and the Racing Queensland team who have done all possible to accommodate the needs of owners and trainers with horses trying to get a start”.

Very rarely has Goondiwindi staged a seven-race program and we are excited by the chance to stage the day. The club will conduct a track inspection at 6am Saturday to establish a track rating. The track at acceptance time was superb being a Good 3 after track Manger Gerard O’Connor’s careful attention. A great day of racing is predicted.
